Bank of America Online Assessment
Bank of America's round-1 campus OA is NOT a quant test — candidates consistently walk in expecting math and meet a HireVue behavioral/psychometric battery instead. It runs about 30 minutes across four modules: 8 situational-judgment scenarios (9 min), a short numerical business case (5 questions, 7 min), a 15-item self-report questionnaire (3 min), and 88 forced-choice personality pairs (9 min). Hong Kong candidates report an extra newly added business case (6 questions). Only the business-case module has objectively correct answers; everything else is personality and judgment profiling. Candidate-reported, 2027 cycle (US + HK campus).
Campus (all tracks) — Business case (timed MCQ)
'Work Your Business Case' is the only scored-right-or-wrong module: single-select MCQs read off a Resources tab (Company Profile / Growth Proposal / Operating Statement) — financial-statement trends, a payback-period calculation, margin impact, and make-vs-buy logic. The instructions say to work fast: 'the less time you take, the better.' HK candidates report a second, newly added sales-volume case (6 questions) in the same format. Our timed simulation runs both cases back-to-back at the real per-question pace.

Campus (all tracks) — Judgment scenarios (SJT)
'Handle Work Challenges': you play a BofA employee, read a workplace scenario with four response options, and pick the response MOST like you and the response LEAST like you from dropdowns. Once you hit Next you cannot go back. Be honest about what this is: no official answer key exists for this module — the 'answers' circulating in prep decks are simply one test-taker's picks, not a scoring rubric. What's actually being profiled is judgment consistency: taking ownership, prioritizing by impact, and raising problems early rather than hiding them.

Campus (all tracks) — Personality modules
Two unscoreable-by-design modules. 'Tell Us Your Story' (15 questions, 3 min) is a self-report questionnaire — rate your own skills, performance, learning habits, and how long you expect to stay. 'Describe Your Approach' (88 questions, 9 min) is an ipsative forced-choice inventory: each item shows a PAIR of statements and you pick which is more like you, with a Most/Somewhat strength on either side. There are no right answers and we don't pretend to score you. What matters: answer about work situations (as instructed), stay consistent — near-identical pairs recur as consistency checks and contradicting yourself is what flags a profile — and keep your self-ratings aligned with the role and your resume rather than maxing every scale.
