The GTS interview funnel

1. Recruiter / Screen

Phone - background + fit

An intro conversation about background and interest, sometimes with a quick technical warm-up.

2. Online Assessment / Coding

Timed - algorithms

A coding/quant OA: sliding-window and DP problems (cheapest roof covering k cars, subarray optimization).

3. Probability & Mental Math

45-60 min - video

Probability, expectation, combinatorics, and brain-teasers -- card-guessing EV (harmonic numbers), races, counting.

4. Statistics

45-60 min - video

Statistics and regression brain-teasers: duplicated-data effects on slope/R-squared/t-stat.

5. Onsite - Hardest Rounds

Final rounds - the toughest reported problems

The hardest reported GTS problems across every topic. (Hard-rated only; earlier rounds cover easy/medium, so nothing repeats.)

GTS interview — FAQ

What is the GTS interview process?

GTS is a New York electronic market maker (a major NYSE DMM). Expect probability, expectation, and coding (sliding-window, DP), plus regression/stats brain-teasers. No game. The loop runs 5 stages: Recruiter / Screen, Online Assessment / Coding, Probability & Mental Math, Statistics, Onsite - Hardest Rounds.

How many rounds does GTS have?

5 stages in total, starting with the Recruiter / Screen and ending with the Onsite - Hardest Rounds.

How do I prepare for the GTS interview?

Work the stage notes above, then drill the GTS interview-questions set and the GTS online-assessment practice — each problem has a full worked solution.
