Quantitative Researcher new grad, September 2026 report. The first-round OA runs in one sitting of 70 minutes in four timed blocks: 10 minutes for 10 multiple-choice questions on basic statistics; 24 minutes for 4 free-response statistics questions with room to explain your reasoning; 20 minutes for 1 coding problem that must be written in C++; then 16 minutes for 2 more coding problems in Python, Java or C++. Budget the statistics blocks tightly (about a minute per MCQ, six per free-response question) and make sure your C++ is warm before the sitting, since the single-language block is where candidates lose the most time.
