Man Group Online Assessment

Man Group's 2027-cycle quant online assessment has five parts, as candidates report: numerical reasoning on data tables, 50 number-pattern questions in 10 minutes, bank-style logical reasoning, an array-based coding task, and about 10 to 12 probability questions in roughly 12 minutes. One candidate described it as Optiver-style speed tests plus an investment bank aptitude test. The platform may be Correlation One, unconfirmed. There is no timed replica yet; the free drills below match each part. Everything here is candidate-reported (September 2026). Last updated October 9, 2026.

Quant online assessment — Part 1: Numerical reasoning (tables)

Part 1: Numerical reasoning (tables)Online, data tables2026 -> 2027

Short arithmetic on tables of company figures. In the photographed example, cost, overhead, sales, profit and a per-shareholder dividend are given for four years with one value missing, and the relationships between the columns stay fixed, so you infer the rule from the complete rows and apply it to the missing one.

Quant online assessment — Part 2: Number patterns

Part 2: Number patternsOnline50 questions / 10 min2026 -> 2027

Fifty find-the-next-term questions in 10 minutes, about twelve seconds each. Speed of recognition matters more than depth: differences, ratios, alternating and interleaved sequences.

Quant online assessment — Part 3: Logical reasoning (bank-style)

Part 3: Logical reasoning (bank-style)Online, multiple choice2026 -> 2027

Investment-bank aptitude items. One type asks whether statement 1 supports statement 2 or is irrelevant to it. Another gives a workplace rule and an application of it, and asks whether the application correctly or incorrectly follows the rule and whether the result was expected or unexpected under the rule (for example, missing a required meeting with a documented reason filed, and no investigation following). Read the definitions on the instruction screen once and apply them literally.

Quant online assessment — Part 4: Coding (array task)

Part 4: Coding (array task)Online coding2026 -> 2027

Candidates report one array-based coding task without recalling the details. A coverage problem reported from the technical interview (fewest fountains to water a line) may be the same item; it is a classic greedy interval cover.

Quant online assessment — Part 5: Probability

Part 5: ProbabilityOnlineAbout 10 to 12 questions / about 12 min2026 -> 2027

A short probability block of roughly a minute per question. Candidates did not record the items; expect conditional probability, expected value and counting at an easy to medium level.

After the online assessment

Candidates report a technical interview with coding, statistics and math and no resume questions: a coverage coding task, multicollinearity and regularization, and the range of a common pairwise correlation. Man Group's careers page adds pre-recorded video or telephone interviews for shortlisted candidates and final interviews or assessment days.
