What the real test looks like

Each screen shows one sequence — integers, fractions, or mixed — and five candidate next terms. Unlike Beat the Odds, the clock is shared across all 26 questions (25 minutes), clicking an answer card commits it and moves you forward, and you may navigate BACK to revisit anything before the final “SAVE AND SUBMIT”.

The recurring pattern families in the reported sets: repeating operation cycles (−1, +2, ×3, ÷4…), two interleaved sub-sequences, second-order recurrences like a(n) = 2·a(n−1) + a(n−2), product-of-previous-terms chains (including fractions), and difference ladders.

Scoring & strategy

+1 / −1 / 0 with candidate reports suggesting roughly 15 points is a safe bar. The shared clock changes strategy completely: bank every sequence you see instantly, SKIP anything that stalls you, and spend the final minutes returning via BACK to the skipped ones. One stubborn sequence can cost you five easy points elsewhere.
